The QM Magnum table, designed around 1978 while Jeffrey Bigelow still occupied his Georgetown studio, was created to meet the demands of the interior design community who were, at the time, strongly influenced by the Oriental style.  This "Chow" table, as was the colloquial description, was very popular and the flawless  Bigelow craftsmanship made the hand carved sides appear like art glass.  The glass top were inset and the green edge was cleverly hidden by the curved edge through an optical illusion.
